Indian Institute of Management ( IIM ) has been set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2010 at Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.

The Institute is conducting Entrance test every year for Admission of Management studies based on the some qualifying tests. Admission Procedure for Indian Institute of Management ( IIM ) Raipur MBA Entrance Exam – 2015

For Post Graduate Program ( PGP )

The Admission for PGP Batch ( 2015-17 ) is going on. The batch size is likely to be around 120. IIM Raipur reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.

The basic objective of IIM Raipur’s admission process is to identify meritorious candidates for admission under each category of admission, General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DAP.

The admission process of IIM Raipur will be based on the below criteria’s

CAT Examination
Short listing Candidates for Personal Appearance ( PA ) process 
Conducting the PA process. PA process is composed of Written Analysis Test ( WAT ) and Personal 
Interview ( PI )
Preparing the admission list based on CAT score, WAT & PI score and Profile score as indicated 
 in below.

Criteria for Short listing for PA ( WAT& PI ) process

The CAT 2014 percentile will be used for short listing candidates for WAT and PI. The tentative category-wise minimum percentile is as follows:

The IIM Raipur Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates to be called for PA process on the basis of short listed merit list prepared for each category.

However, if the actual number of shortlisted candidates were found to be less ( more ) than the required number of candidates to be called for PI / WAT category-wise, then the overall as well as section wise minimum score would be reduced ( increased ) to get the desired number of candidates.

The six new IIMs ( Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Trichy and Udaipur ) have decided to adopt a common process of WAT& PI to be coordinated this year by IIM Udaipur.

In case any of the older IIMs ( Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode and Luck now ) are willing to share their WAT& PI scores with the six new IIMs, the common candidates who have applied to new IIMs, need not to appear for WAT& PI process separately, else they have to appear.

 The common candidates will be intimated the names of older IIMs sharing WAT & PI scores with new IIMs in due course of time.

A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Raipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send along with Offer Acceptance an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs.50,000/-.

If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs.1000/- as processing charges.

If a candidate registers for the programme, his / her Offer Acceptance Amount will be adjusted against Term I Fee.

In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after registration, and if seat consequently falling vacant gets filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, IIM Raipur will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of fee and hostel rent, where applicable.

For Fellow Programme in Management ( FPM )

Admissions will be based on the below category fulfillment.

Personal Interview

Upon being shortlisted as per the score of entrance test the candidate has to appear for a personal interview at IIM Raipur in front of the Doctoral Research Committee ( DRC ). The DRC will assess the suitability of the candidates for research work based on the portfolio of the candidate. The committee in particular will look into a consistently good academic record, professional accomplishments, research interest etc.

Preparing the Merit List

Merit List will be prepared based on Test Score Personal Interview, Academic Qualification and Relevant Work Experience, Research Aptitude & Publications and Reference Letter

Criteria for Preparing the Merit List

The criteria for preparing the Merit List will be as follows:

Test Score: 20%

Personal Interview ( PI ) : 30%

Reference Letter: 05%

Academic and Work Experience: 45%

 Acceptance of Admission Offer

A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Raipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send a non-refundable commitment fee of Rs.16,000 ( the date of submission will be mentioned in admission offer letter ) along with Offer Acceptance Form.

Withdrawal:

If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs.1000/- as processing charges.

In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after registration, and if seat consequently falling vacant gets filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, IIM Raipur will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of fee and hostel rent, where applicable.

Registration and Inauguration of the Programme

If a candidate does not have above score he / she has to appear Research Aptitude Test ( RAT ) to be conducted by IIM Raipur.

CAT / GMAT / BAT Score

A valid CAT ( last 2 years ) score OR a GMAT ( last 2 years ) score OR scores from the Business Aptitude Test ( BAT ) to be conducted by IIM Raipur.

The BAT will be conducted at IIM Raipur only. The BAT will be in the pattern of CAT.

Shortlist Applications for BAT / PI Process

Admission Committee of IIM Raipur will decide the number of candidates to be called for BAT / PI process on the basis of applications received and short listed merit list prepared for each category.

However, if the actual number of shortlisted candidates were found to be less ( more ) than the required number of candidates to be called for BAT / PI category-wise, then the minimum score would be reduced ( increased ) to get the desired number of candidates.

Personal Interview

Personal interview of short listed candidates will be conducted at Raipur. Short listing will be done on the basis of CAT / GMAT / BAT Score. Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates to be called for Personal Interview on the basis of short listed merit list prepared for each category.

Preparing the Merit List

The Merit List will be prepared based on CAT / GMAT / BAT Score, Personal Interview, Academic Qualification and Relevant Working Experience.

The criteria for preparing the Merit List will be as follows
