Private candidates interested in writing the Public Examinations for the 10th, 11th, or 12th Standards can apply from today (Wednesday, 9th March).

Most of the Academic Institutions remained closed in Tamil Nadu in the last 2 years due to the raging coronavirus pandemic waves.

As there was a perceptible reduction in the spread of coronavirus, the schools and colleges were reopened from January 2022.

Presently, direct classes are conducted in all schools for the students from the 1st to the 12th Standards.

Further, the dates for the Public Examinations for the 10th & 12th Standard students have also been announced!

12th Standard Public Examinations are scheduled to commence from 5th May and conclude on 28th May. 11th Standard Public Examinations are scheduled to commence from 9th May and conclude on 31st May, 10th Standard Public Examinations are scheduled to commence from 6th May and conclude on 30th May

In this situation, The State Government of Tamil Nadu School Education Department has announced that the private candidates who are interested in writing the 10th, 11th, or 12th Standard Public Examinations can apply for the same from today (Wednesday, 9th May).

It has been further informed that the interested private candidates can directly visit the Government Examinations Department Service Centres set up in each district from today (Wednesday, 9th March) until  16th March from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM (except Sundays). Otherwise, they may also apply through the internet – website: www.dge.tn.gov.in .

Candidates, who fail to apply in the above-given dates from 9th to 16th May, may apply through the Special Tatkal Permission from 18th May until 23rd May.

Examination fees - for 10th – Rs. 500/-, 11th & 12th – Rs. 1000/-.
