About College

Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute holds the pride of being the fourth agricultural college to be established under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and the college is presently offering education from the Navalur Kuttappattu Village at about 14 kms from the city of Trichy. The institute got its present campus due to the funding offered by the ICAR and a research station was established in the college out of the funds offered by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

In the year 1980, the research centre at the institute was upgraded as Soil Salinity Research Centre by the National Agricultural Research Project funding for conducting research on Saline Soil, which is unique in this area. The centre holds the pride of being one among the pioneering centres in the nation for problematic soil, particularly soil affected by salt.
