Duvvuru Ramanamma Women's College, Nellore was established in 1981. The goal of the college is to educate girl students especially from poor families with rural background and to provide access to higher education to the girl students of the rural community, who do not have the benefit of their urban counterparts. Duvvuru Ramanamma Women's Collegeis the first affiliated college in the entire S.V.University area Accrediated by NACC with B++ grade during 2004
 
The college conducts spiritual classes to inculcate spiritual values among the students, to break down the social barriers and to have religious tolerance. The college’s vision is to promote and encourage noble motives, objective thinking and strength of will to implement one’s decisions and to make the future mothers to realize the potentialities of their girl children and support them to achieve their dreams.
