Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science (L.C.V.Sc.)

The Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science was established at Azad, Lakhimpur in 1988. The first batch of 20 (twenty) students were admitted in February, 1988. However, due to inadequate infrastructure in the college for quality education, the students admitted in this college during 1996 and 1997 started their classes in the College of Veterinary Science, AAU, Khanapara. After creating some facilities, admission to the college was again resumed from 1998 with 20 students in each batch. 

However, from the session, 2000-01, only Ist year class of 20 students are taught here and they are sent from the 2nd year class to the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara for onward study in view of the fact that facility has not yet been created adequately for quality education to keep up the standard of veterinary education in the university. A total of 114 students have passed out from this college till date.
