Raja Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy Women’s College, Hyderabad was established in 1964 by the Hyderabad Mahila Vidya Sangam,(HMVS), a non-profit education society with a vision to provide education to women especially to those coming from the rural areas. It is the second oldest college for women in Hyderabad city to be conferred with autonomous status by UGC. It is the first women’s college to introduce M.B.A. program under Osmania University jurisdiction. It is a partially aided college with a Campus Hostel.

The college is an autonomous and a partially grant-in-aid institution, affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. It is centrally located in the city on a campus comprising a 3.5 acre plot with five buildings. There are 48 class rooms, 29 Science labs, and 13 staff rooms. The college libraries have about 1,00,000 volumes. The college has an Audio-Visual Room, a spacious Auditorium and an open air theatre. The College was accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC in October 2005.
