JNU Combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam ( JNU CBEE )

Biotechnology is a multi-disciplinary area on the educational scene and programmes have been developed to meet the growing demand for trained manpower for any meaningful Biotechnology activity. The Government of India has allotted high priority for the development of Biotechnology and its exploitation in agriculture and other related disciplines. Jawaharlal Nehru University is conducting Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination ( JNU CBEE ) for the admission to M.Sc. ( Biotechnology ),  M.Sc Agri / M.V.Sc ( Biotechnology ), M.Tech ( Biotechnology ) Programmes for the year 2015 being offered by the following participating Universities Anna University, Chennai, Cochin University of Science And Technology, Kochi, Kerala ( M.Tech. in Marine Biotechnology ), West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata. In addition, the University will hold entrance examination at Kathmandu ( Nepal )

Jawaharlal Nehru University is conducting Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination ( CBEE ) for the admission to M.Sc. ( Biotechnology ),  M.Sc Agri / M.V.Sc ( Biotechnology ), M.Tech ( Biotechnology ) Programmes for the year 2015

Application fee: Rs.260/-

Examination Fee for General and OBC: Rs. 600/-

Examination Fee for SC / ST: Rs. 300/-

Examination fee for Foreign Nationals: US$ 25.00 or Rs.1550/-.

Last date of receipt of Application is 25th March, 2015

A candidate can apply either “Online” or “Offline”.

Online Application:

Candidates can apply Online on payment of prescribed fee if they have access to a computer, a printer and Internet by logging on to JNU official website.

Website will remain open from 10:00 AM ( IST ) on 6th February, 2015 till 5:00 PM (IST) on 20th March, 2015.

Offline Application:

Set of Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained through Post by sending crossed Bank Draft for Rs.260/- (Rs. Two Hundred sixty only) drawn in favour of JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY payable at NEW DELHI along with a self addressed ( unstamped ) envelope of the minimum size of 30 cms x 25 cms. clearly indicating the programme of study for which the Application Form is required on the self-addressed envelope to the below address

Candidates seeking a set of Application Form and Prospectus from Nepal are required to send a Demand Draft of Rs.400/- or equivalent in US Dollars.

The entrance examination fee is Rs.600/- for general category candidates including OBC candidates and Rs.300/- for the candidates belonging to SC / ST and Person with Disability ( PWD ) categories. The entrance examination fee for Foreign Nationals is US$ 25.00 or Rs.1550/-.

You are required to enclose Crossed Bank Draft for the prescribed examination fee. The bank draft should be drawn in favour of JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY payable at NEW DELHI.

Money Orders and Cheques are not accepted. Please do not send your request for set of application form and prospectus through courier. Please note that there will be no cash counter for sale of set of application form and prospectus

The completed offline Application Form must reach JNU latest by 25th March, 2015. JNU will not accept responsibility for any postal delay or irregularity or loss in postal transit.

Payment Modes:

Cash Deposit in SBI:

You can pay your fee by depositing cash in any of the SBI branch which is CBS enabled and which are given in the List.

Visit official website select appropriate fee payment link ( Application Fee ), fill your details and select “Cash Deposit at Bank ( E-Slip )” as payment mode.

Generate and Print E-Slip and deposit your fee payment at bank on next working day of E-Slip generation. Payment status will be reflected on website after 48 hours.

Payment through Debit / Credit Card:

Application fee payment can be done online through Debit or Credit card.

Payment Through Internet Banking ( SBI ):

Application fee payment can be done online through Internet Banking ( State Bank Of India ).
