North-Eastern Hill University was set up by an Act of Parliament and notified on 19th July 1973. The objectives of the University, as laid down in the act, are "to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-eastern region, and in particular, the intellectual, academic and cultural advancement".

Application in the prescribed form are invited for admission to the UG & PG courses of study in the North Eastern Hill University for B.Tech., B.Tech Lateral Entry & B.Arch.,M.Tech,Master of Tourism and Travel Management ( MTTM ) & Master of Food and Agri-Business Management Courses in the academic session 2015-16.Programme commencing from August, 2015

NEHU Engineering 2021 PG Selection Procedure

North-Eastern Hill University Post Graduate Entrance Examination ( NEHU-PGEE ) Selection Procedure-2015:

For M.Tech, Master of Tourism and Travel Management ( MTTM ) & Master of Food and Agri-Business Management Courses :

Application in the prescribed form are invited for admission to the courses of study in the North Eastern Hill University for admission of M.Tech, Master of Tourism and Travel Management ( MTTM ) & Master of Food and Agri-Business Management Courses in the academic session 2015-16.

Selection Procedure For NEHU-PGEE-2015 :

For M.Tech:

A merit list shall be prepared based on the GATE score and / or entrance examination conducted by concerned department.

For Master of Food and Agri-Business Management :

Candidates must have a valid MAT score, conducted by All India Management Association. Candidates without MAT score may also apply but selection is subject to availability of seats.

For Master of Tourism and Travel Management -MTTM :

Candidates must have a valid Management Aptitude Test (MAT) score ( May / September / December 2014 or February / May 2015 ) conducted by All India Management Association. Candidates without MAT score may also apply but selection is subject to availability of seats.
