Foreign Medical Graduates Examination

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is the authority conducting the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination or FMGE. An assessment exam, FMGE, will evaluate Indian nationals with a medical degree from any country outside India. Implemented since 2002, the entrance examination of FMGE will be mandatory for all Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) in order to be able to practice in India. FMGE is conducted twice a year in the months of June and December. Aspirants qualifying FMGE will be able to obtain a permanent or provisional registration with State Medical Council (SMC) or the Medical Council of India (MCI).

FMGE 2021 Exam Overview

FMGE 2018 – Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2018 is a screening test which allows candidates to obtain provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. FMGE 2018 will be conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). The application form of FMGE 2018 for December session has started from October 16 at 07:00 pm. A link for FMGE online registrations 2018 has been made available below. Only the eligible candidates can fill the application form of FMGE December 2018. The last date to fill FMGE application form 2018 is November 6, 2018.

NBE will hold FMGE 2018 for December session on December 14. The screening test is conducted twice a year in the month of June and December. It is an evaluative exam which allows Indian nationals with foreign medical qualification to practice in the country considering they qualify the exam. The mode of conduction of FMGE 2018 will be only online i.e. the exam will be delivered using the computer network.
