International Mathematical Olympiad ( IMO ) Entrance Examination

The Science Olympiad Foundation, ( SOF ) is an educational foundation and a non-profit organization, based at New Delhi ( India ), which promotes Science, Mathematics in India and other places like Singapore, Oman, Qatar, Nepal, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, U.A.E. and Durban. Every year, it organizes Olympiads in each of these places, namely the International Mathematics Olympiad ( IMO ) .In the IMO( International Mathematics Olympiad) is a means to identify and encourage the mathematical creativity of children in schools across India and abroad. The students from classes 1 - 12 are eligible for appearing in it. The format of both levels is the same. Criteria for Qualification for 2nd Level Olympiad Exams:

Student fulfilling any of the following 3 criteria will qualify for 2nd level Olympiads exams:

Top 5% of students, class wise who appear for the 1st level exam. Due weightage to marks scored in different sections will be given.

Zone wise / State wise top 10 rank holders from each class.

Class topper where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores at least 50% marks.

2nd level exam will be held for Cyber, Science & Mathematics Olympiads for students from class 3 onwards. Incase two or more students score same total marks , ranks will be determined by following weightage. A student scoring more marks in section with higher weightage will get higher rank.
