  1. One card is drawn from a well shuffled pack of 52 cards. If E is the event, "the card drawn is a king or queen" and F is the event "the card drawn is a queen or an ace", then find P(E/F).

  2. Three events A, B and C have probalilities \(\frac { 2 }{ 5 } ,\frac { 1 }{ 3 } \)and \(\frac { 1 }{ 2 } \)  respectively. Given that P(A\(\cap \)C) = \(\frac { 1 }{ 5 } \)\(P(B\cap C)=\frac { 1 }{ 4 } \)find P(C/B) and P(\(\bar { A } \cap \bar { C } \))?

  3. A fair dice is rolled. Consider the following events A = {1, 3, 5}, B = {2, 3} and C ={2, 3, 4, 5} Find (i) P(A/B) and P(B/A) (ii) P(A\(\cap \)B/C)

  4. A die is thrown 3 times. Events A and B are defined as follows.
A: getting 4 on third die
B: getting 6 on the first and 5 on the second throw. Find the probability of A given that B has already occurred.

  5. Given p(A) = 0.5, P(B) = 0.6 and \(P(A\cap B)=0.24\) .Find
    (i) \(P(A\cup B)\)
    (ii) \(P(\vec { A } \cap B)\)
    (iii) \(P\left( A\cap \bar { B } \right) \)
    (iv) \(P\left( \bar { A } \cup \bar { B } \right) \)
    (v) \(P(\bar { A } \cap \bar { B } )\)
