(i) During Iight independent reaction CO2 is reduced to carbohydrate by ATP and NADPH2 which are generated during light dependent reaction.
(ii) So light dependent reaction should occur before the light independent reaction.

Respiratory quotient is the ratio of volume of carbon dioxide liberated and the volume of oxygen consumed during respiration. It is expressed as
RQ = \(\frac{Volume \ of \ { CO }_{ 2 } \ liberated}{Volume \ of \ { O }_{ 2 } \ consumed}\)

(i) Photosynthesis is a process by which autotrophic organisms like green plants, algal and chlorophyll containing bacteria utilize the energy from sunlight using CO2 and H2O to synthesize their own food.
(ii) It occurs in the chloroplasts of the cell.
