1.
(i) Mangrove plants roots which are seen above the ground for the purpose of gaseous exchange.
(ii) These roots are erect, peg like structures with numerous pores through which air circulates.
(iii) These roots are called breathing roots, or pneumatophores. e.g Avicennia.
2.
(i) Sucking roots (or) Haustoria are found in parasite plants.
(ii) These roots penetrate the tissues of host plant and suck nutrients from then.
e.g cuscuta.

Runner, stolum, sucker, offset.
4.
Male gamete fuses with the female gamete to form zygote. This process is known as fertilization.
5.
(i) A group of flowers is called an inflorescence. e.g sunflower.
(ii)The sunflower is not a single flower. It is a group of flower clustered together.
(iii) Tidax procumbens also an inflorescence.
6.
Calyx, corolla, Androecium and Gynoecium.
7.
In climbers, the leaf of plant would be modified into elongated structure to help the plants climb efficiently is known as tendril.
8.
Insects, birds, animals, wind and water are the agents of pollination.
9.
The process by which pollen grains reach stigma is called as pollination.
10.
Two types of reproduction are,
i) Sexual reproduction.
ii) Asexual reproduction.
