There are two steps of breathing:
(i) Inhalation: The taking in of air rich in oxygen into the body is called inhalation
(ii) Exhalation: The giving out of air rich in carbon dioxide is called exhalation
Breathing is a continuous process that takes place throughout the life.

Chemicals like paints, solvents and insecticide should not be thrown down the drain as they may kill microbes that help to purify water.

MCBs (Miniature circuit breakers) are switches which automatically turn off when current in a circuit exceeds the safe limit. We turn them on and the circuit is once again complete

Water is called a unique substance because it is the only substance which is used for variety of purposes and naturally maintained if used judiciously.

Difference between artery and vein:

Artery	Vein
1. Thick walled which are elastic.	Thin walled which are less elastic
2. Have no valves and they transport oxygenated blood (except pulmonary artery).	Have valves and they transport deoxygenated blood (except pulmonary vein).

Real image is formed when the reflected rays actually meet and is obtained on a screen. It is always inverted. Pin-hole camera forms a real image.
