1.
Cuboid;
(i) 6
(ii) 6
(iii) 12
2.

3.
Here,
Number of faces (F) = 20
Number of vertices (V) = 12
Let the number of edges be E.
∴ Using Euler's formula, we have
F + V = E + 2
⇒ 20 + 12 = E + 2
⇒ 32 = E + 2
⇒ E = 32 - 2 = 30
Thus, the required number of edges = 30.
4.
Number of vertices (V) = 8
Number of edges (E) = 12
Let the number of faces be F
Now, using Euler's formula
F + V = E + 2
We have
F + 8 = 12 + 2
⇒ F + 8 = 14
⇒ F = 14 - 8 ⇒ F = 6
Thus, the required number of faces = 6.
5.
Cylinder mounted by hemisphere.
6.
We know that, a square prism has a square as its base. Thus, base and top of a square prism are square, if its other faces or lateral faces are also congruent to base (i.e. have same dimension as base), then it is same as a cube and if other faces are rectangle, then it is same as cuboid also. So, a square prism is not same only as a cube but as cuboid also.
7.
Shivaji road
8.
Length = 6 cm and width = 5 cm
9.
∵ Scale of map = \(\frac { Size\ drawn }{ Actual\ size } =\frac { 5\ inches }{ 45\ feet } =1inch:9feet\)
So, scale of map is 1 inch = 9 feet.
10.
