Length of the log = 3a + 4b-2
Remaining length of the log = (3a + 4b - 2)-(2a - b)
= (3a - 2a) + [4b - (-b)]- 2
= (3 - 2) a + (4 + 1) b - 2
= a + 5b-2

Perimeter of the triangle = Sum of three sides
= (2x - 5y + 9) + (3y + 6x - 7) + (-4x + y + 10)
= 2x - 5y + 9 + 3y + 6x - 7 -4x + y +10
= 2x + 6x - 4x -:-5y + 3y + Y + 9 -7 + 10
= (2 + 6 - 4) x + (-5 + 3 + 1) y + (9 -7 + 10)
= 4x - y+ 12
\(\therefore\) Perimeter of the triangle = 4x -y + 12 units.
