In case of India, unemployment scenario is as below.
(a) Statistically, the unemployment rate is low in India.
(b) A large number of people represented with low income and productivity are counted as employed.They appear to work throughout the year but in terms of their potential and income, it is not adequate for them.
(c) Poor people cannot afford to sit idle.They tend to engage in any activity irrespective of its earning potential.
(d) The employment structre is chracterised by self-employment in the primary sector.
The whole family contributes in the field even though not everybody is really needed.

(a) (i) Educated women are aware of their rights and responsibilities which provides them an equal opportunity to grow and prosper with their male co-workers.
(ii) Uneducated women are not aware of their rights and are exploited by the employer in terms of low wages and bad working conditions.
(b) (i) Educated women generally earn more due to their education.They may be professors, doctors, teachers, etc.
(ii) Uneducated women are generally skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled workers if they work.
(c) Educated women are more presentable to demonstrate their job skills which is generally not available in uneducated women. 

The following are the reasons for educated parents to invest more heavily on their children's education:
1. Educated parents themselves have been the benefits of education in terms of better life and social status.This drives them to make their children the same.
2.They understand that education is the best form of society security for their children as children can always earn their livelihood with higher education.
3.They look after their children's needs for education at school and good health.

The statement is correct that investment in human resource is the need of the hour.India has a vast population and it can be used for economic growth if it can contribute to the country's GDP.The potential to contribute to the GDP exists only when the population is able to work in the process of production of goods and services in the economy.A good level of education and healthy body is required for this.Government should invest in the education and health initiatives which strengthen the capability of the human resources to gainfully work.Hence, investment in human resource will return huge return and also bring development to the economy.

Unemployment is a situation in which is willing to work at prevailing wages, but does not get any work.

The quality of population depends upon:
(i) Literacy Rate
(ii) Health of a person
(iii) Life expectancy of a person
(iv) Skill formation.

Human resources are important for development as they contribute to the growth of the economy by taking up productive activities in the form of business, profession and employment.They also create demand in the economy which helps industry to grow and prosper.A well educated, healthy and disciplined human resource is more of an an asset for the economy than a liability.

When the existing human resouces  is developed through education, health and welfare measures, it becomes human capital or can be called human capital formation.Investment in human capital through education, training, medical c are yields a return just like investment in physical capital.More educated and better trained people yield higher return due to higher productivity of educated and healthier people.

Population becomes human capital when there is investment made in the term of education, training and medical care.Human capital is stock of skill and productive knowledge embodied in them.

Women are paid low as compared to men.
1. The major reason for this is that women have meagre education and low skill formation.
2. Also,in unorganised sector there is a general bias towards women workers who are not highly educated and skilled.
3. Physical and emotional weakness, non-suitability for harzardous work and social restrictions also ass up to the reason that women are employed in low paid work.

Health plays crucial part in individual's working life:
1.It helps a person to fight illness.
2.It creates well being of human life.
3.It adds to the quality of life of an individual.
4.It adds value to the human resources of the country.

(i) Importance of Education. Human resource refers to the population of a country and the efficiency,productivity ,skill and far sightedness of its inhabitants.
(ii) Education is an important factor for the development of human resource.
(iii) Education-general, technical and medical improves the level of understanding.
(iv) It also adds to the capacity of human stock to produce more. It increases the mental efficiency of the people.
(v) Education can play an effective role in raising production from its low level.General and technical education develops efficiency among the labourers to use highly advanced techniques of production for the optimum use of the existing resources.
(vi) Education builds healthy human capital to handle the pressure of challenging jobs.
