The forest plants fix a lot of CO₂ and thus have a lot of carbon in their biomass. The deforestation therefore results in the increased concentration of CO₂ in the atmosphere which may result in the global warming.

Many harmful chemicals, disinfectants and pathogenic microbes are present in the waste generated in the hospitals. Such waste require disposal, requiring incinerators.
