Resistance of a material can be found out by the slope of the curve V versus I. Part BC of the curve shows the negative resistance as with the increase in current, there is a decrease in voltage

In reverse bias condition of photodiode, the change in saturation reverse current is directly proportional to the change in the incident light flux or light intensity, which can be measured accurately. It is not so when photodiode is forward biased.

When an intrinsic semiconductor is doped with the impurity atoms of valency three like indium or boron, some allowed energy levels are produced, situated in the energy gap slightly above the valence band. These levels are called acceptor energy levels.
