Now-a-days in schools environment education is also provided to students. They form 'Eco clubs' to create awareness about the environment. As Radha is a member of the 'Eco club', she will be suggested to make beautiful dustbins (as use me) to collect garbage, organise small discussions and entertainment programmes regarding 'Save environment' .

Number of vultures is decreasing remarkably nowa- days mainly because of deforestation which disturbs the wildlife. Vultures play an important role in the food chain. They feed on dead organisms and act to clean the environment. Hence, they act as decomposers in the ecological balance.

Trees are used in making papers. About 17 fully grown trees are used to make one tonne of paper. So wastage of paper is also a cause of deforestation. Therefore, we should recycle and save the papers. If we save papers, we can save many trees in a year. In this way, recycling and saving of papers is directly related to avoid the deforestation.

Aeforestation is restocking of the destroyed forests by planting new trees.
(i) It retains our green wealth for future generations.
(ii) It also aims at preservation and conservation of natural forests and meeting the basic needs of the people living in or near the forests.

In a wildlife sanctuary, killing and capturing of wild animals are strictly prohibited. It does not allow any human activity which disturbs the wild animals or their habitat. So, in these areas, animals live in natural environment, protected from people. This is why sanctuaries are important.

i) Animals behaviour can be understood from the explanation given below: As human populations expand into wild animal habitats, their territory is displaced.
ii) Reduction in the availability of food sources forces the animal to seek alternate sources. Thus, drawing them towards human habitation.
iii) Habitat degradation, forest fragmentation and change in agricultural pattern are the major reasons why wild animals enter human habitation.

Increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere due to deforestation leads to global warming as carbon dioxide (CO₂) traps the heat rays reflected by earth. The increase in temperature on the earth disturbs the water cycle and reduces rainfall.

The main causes of deforestation are the cutting of trees for wood and usage of lands for industries and houses. Its consequences are flooding, drought, extinction of species and many more other harmful activities.

Some tribals depend on the jungle because they get almost of their resource to live from the jungle like shelter, wood, food, etc.

Earth
The various cycles on earth like water, oxygen, carbon dioxide are disturbed due to deforestation. Also, the fertile land of earth is converted into dry land, i.e. desertification occurs by deforestation.

Environment
Deforestation increases the amount of CO₂ in the environment. Due to this, the water cycle is disturbed which may lead to drought. It also reduces the water holding capacity of soil that leads to flood.
