A camel has following adaptations to survive in a desert environment:
(a) It has long legs to escape from the heat of the sand.
(b) It can live without water for several days.
(c) It excretes dry dung and small amount of urine.

(i) It has long ears to hear the movements of its predators.
(ii) Its eyes on the sides of its head help it to look in all the directions.
(iii) It has high speed of running which helps it to run away from its predators

Rats and snakes escape the intense heat of the desert by hiding themselves deep into the burrows in the sand during day. They come out during the night when it is cool outside. 

Biotic components include living things such as plants and animals. Abiotic components include-living things such as air, water, soil, rocks, heat and light, etc.

The presence of specific features or certain habits, which enable a plant or an animal to live in its habitat comfortably, is called adaptation

Fish have scales all over the body and their body is streamlined also. They can see and breathe in water, thus they are adapted to live in aquatic conditions.

The desert animals hide themselves in the day and they become active during the night. This way they do not lose much water. Such animals are called nocturnal animals.

Growth represents changes in all features of living beings as time passes. Non-living things do not grow and change like shape, size, etc.

The needle-like leaves of these trees have a thick waxy layer called cuticle which protects the leaves from any kind of damage.

Deep sleep or hibernation is adapted by animals living in mountain habitats.

On sudden appearance of bright lights animals run-off like cats, rats, etc.

As a predator they have to hunt for food which is not easy as prey like deer are very fast. Thus, they have high agility.

Rose and jasmine can be produced by stem cuttings.

Carbon dioxide is given off and oxygen is taken in our lungs.

Monkeys and birds live on tree that is an aerial habitat.
