Questions + Answers key
Take MCQ Maths Test1.
Draw the following angles using the protractor.
38º
2.
Draw the following angles using the protractor.
180º
3.
Draw the following angles using the protractor.
0º
4.
Construct a line segment using ruler and compass QR = 10 cm
5.
Construct a line segment using ruler and compass CD = 3.6 cm
6.
Use a Protractor to draw an angle 45°.
7.
Use a Protractor to draw an angle 90º.
8.
From the figures given below, classify the following pairs of angles into complementary and non complementary
9.
Name the angle in each figure given below in all the possible ways.
10.
Use any number of the given dots to make different angles.

1.

Construction:
(i) Placed the centre of the protractor at the vertex L. Lined up the ray \(\overline { LM } \) with the 0° line. Then draw and labelled a point N at 38° mark on the
(a) inner scale (anticlockwise) and
(b) outer scale (clockwise).
(ii) Removed the protractor and draw \(\overline { LN } \) to complete the angle.
2.

Construction:
(i) Placed the centre of the protractor at the vertex I. Lined up the ray \(\overline { IJ } \) with the 0° line. Then draw and labelled a point K at the 180° mark on the
(a) inner scale (anticlockwise)
(b) outer scale (clockwise)
(ii) Removed the protractor and \(\overline { IK } \) draw to complete the angle.
Now < I = < JHK = < KIJ. = 180°, which is a straight Angle.
3.

Construction:
(i) Placed the centre of the protractor at the vertex G. Lined up the \(\overline { GH } \) ray with the 0° line. Then draw and labelled a point I at the 0° mark on the
(a) inner scale (anti clockwise)
(b) outer scale (clockwise)
(ii) Removed the protractor and seen \(\overline { GI } \) lies exactly on GH
Now < G = < HGI = < IGH = 0°, which is a zero angle.
4.
QR = 10 cm

Construction:
Step 1: Drawn a line 'l' and marked the point Q on it
Step 2: Measured 10 cm using compass by placing pointer at 'O' and pencil pointer at 10 cm.
Step 3: Placing pointer at Q drawn the arc on 'l' with pencil pointer and named the point R
Step 4: QR is the required line segments of 10 cm.
5.
CD = 3.6 cm

Construction:
Step 1: Drawn a line l and marked the point C on it
Step 2: Measured 3.6 cm using compass by placing pointer at 0 and pencil at 3.6 cm
Step 3: Place the pointer of the compass at C then draw a small arc on the line l with the pencil pointer. It cuts the line l at a point and name that point as D.
Step 4: Now, CD is the required line of length 3.6 cm.

![]() Place the centre of the protractor at the vertex P. Line up the ray \( \overrightarrow{P Q}\) with the 0º line. Then draw and label a point (R) at the 45° mark on the inner scale (anticlock wise) |
![]() Place the centre of the protractor at the vertex P. Line up the ray \( \overrightarrow{P Q}\) with the 0º line. Then draw and label a point (R) at the 45° mark on the outer scale (clock wise) |
![]() Remove the protractor and draw \(\overrightarrow{PR}\) to complete the angle. Now, ∠P=∠QPR=∠RPQ=450 |
![]() Remove the protractor and draw \(\overrightarrow{PR}\) to complete the angle. Now, ∠P=∠QPR=∠RPQ=450 |
7.

8.
(i) and (iv) are complementary angles
(ii) and (iii) are non-complementary angles
9.
i) \(\angle L M N, \angle N M L, \angle M\)
