(i) At what time does the train depart from Chennai Egmore to arrive at Trichy? The train departs from Egmore at 20:30 hours to arrive Trichy at 4:30 hours.
(ii) How long does it halt at Villupuram? It halts at Villupuram for 10 minutes.
(iii) How many halts are there in between Chennai and Trichy? There are 3 halts (1) Chengalpattu (2) Villupuram (3) Virudhachalam
(iv) Find the total journey time of the train from Chennai to Trichy.

A handloom weaver takes 6 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds and 5 hours 50 minutes 45 seconds to weave two silk sarees. What is the total time to weave the two silk sarees?

(i) 3.15 a.m. = 3.15 hours
(ii) 12.35 p.m. = 12.35 hours
(iii) 12.00 noon = 12.00 hours
(iv) 12.00 midnight = 00.00 or 24.00 hours

Mala's age : 18 yrs 10 months 15 days

Total Quantity of Lemon Juice
= 200 l - 200000 ml
Each student get = 250 ml
No. of students get the juice
= 200000 ml
250ml
= 800 ml

Thenmozhi's height 1m 25 cm Therefore 1 student = 15ml of oil
= 125 cm
She grows in 1year = 5 cm
Therefore 6 years = 5 \(\times\) 6 = 30 cm
After 6 years,
Thenmozhi's height = (125 + 30) cm needed.
= 155 cm

Her friend drank = 0 300 ml
Remaining water in the bottle = 1 950 = 1 l 950 ml

1 km = 1000 m
1 m = 100 cm
1 cm= 10mm
* 1 km = 1000 m
15 km = 15 \(\times\) 1000 m
= 15000 m
* 1 m = 100 m
15000 m = 15000 \(\times\) 100
= 150000 cm
* 1 cm = 10 mm
Therefore 1500000 em = 10 \(\times\) 1500000
= 15000000 mm
Ans : 15 km = 15000 m, 1500000 cm, 15000000mm
(ii) 12kg (g, mg)
1000 g = 1 kg
1000mg = 1 g
* 1000g = 1 kg
12kg = 12 \(\times\) (1000) g
= 12000 g
* 1g = 1000mg
12000 g = 12000 \(\times\) 1000 mg
= 12000000 mg

Time slowed down for 1 hour = 2 minutes
Time slowed down for 11 hours =11 \(\times\) 2 = 22 minutes
So, at 6 p.m the clock slows down by 22 minutes. That means the clock shows 5 hours 38 minutes at 6 p.m.
