Adolescence is the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. In childhood the sex organs remain normal. In adolescence, there is development of primary and secondary sex characteristics and the child becomes an adult

After ovulation the ovum reaches the fallopian tube and fertilization takes place. The fertilized egg undergoes development and it is implanted in the uterus. The corpus luteum continues to grow and produces large amount of progesterone. This results in pregnancy. Normally it lasts for 280 days, at the end of which parturition takes place.

The fusion of Male and Female gametes (sperm, ovum) is called fertilization. In human, fertilization occurs in fallopian tubes of women's ovary.

Secondary Sex characteristics are the physical features which distinguish male from female
