There are 2 different outcomes in tossing a coin namely a Head and a Tail. Both events cannot occur simultaneously.

On the first spin we get any of the five numbers to form one's place then in second spin the number got will fill 10's place.
∴ Number of ways = 5 x 5 = 25 ways.
Removing the repetitions (11, 22, 33, 44, 55) once we get 25 - 5 = 20 ways.
20 different two digit numbers are possbile.

Number of track events ⇨(100m running, 4 x 100m Relay) 2.
Number of field events ⇨ (Long jump, High jump, Javelin Throw) 3;
Students can take part in the given events in 2 x 3 = 6 ways.

Shanthi wears a chudithar in 5 different ways.
She also wears a frock in 4 different ways.
So she wears either a chudithar or a frock in 5 + 4 different ways.
That is 9 different ways.

The first number can be selected in 10 different ways.
The second number can be selected in 10 different ways.
The third number can be selected in 10 different Ways.
The fourth number can be selected in 10 different ways.
The four digit code is selected in 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 different ways.
That is 10000 ways.

The student has 2 school bags and 3 water bottles.
Therefore he can carry both a school bag and a water bottle in 6 (2 x 3) different possible ways.
7.
The teacher is going to select one student from class VI out of 10 students in 10 ways from class VII out of 15 students in 15 ways and from class VIII out of 20 students in 20 ways.
ஃ Number of ways 3 students can be selected = 10 + 15 + 20 = 45 ways
