The owner of shops in shopping complex earns a huge profit as compared to traders in weekly market.
6.
Every city has wholesale markets where goods first reach and then supplied to other traders. The retailers and roadside hawkers purchase goods in large quantity from these wholesale traders in town. The city wholesale trader buys these goods in large quantities from the factories and stores them in a godown. This creates a chain of markets.
7.
Wholesalers and retailers are the people between producers and consumers. Wholesaler is the first who buys goods in large quantities and then sells them to the retailers. Retailer is the trader who finally sells them to the consumers. It is this connection of traders which helps goods to reach far away places. Thus, wholesaler is in direct contact with producer while retailer with consumers.
8.
Goods are produced in farms, factories and at homes. But goods are not bought directly from the producers (i.e.) from factory or farm. The producers are also not interested in selling small quantities to the customers. Hence, there are people between producers and customers who help in procuring goods. The people in between are known as traders.

12.
'Buying and selling can take place without going to a marketplace' as it is not always compulsory for one to go to the marketplace to purchase goods. This is an era of internet. We can place orders of a variety of things through internet or phone. The goods are delivered at our doorsteps. For example, in clinics and nursing homes, there are sales representatives waiting for doctors. These persons are also involved in selling of goods.
13.
Our neighbourhood shops get their goods from wholesalers. e.g. nearby departmental store is a retailer who purchases its stock in bulk from the wholesaler.
14.
People do not bargain in shops located in malls because they usually sell branded items with price tags on them. Branded items are traded at fixed prices. It is easy to bargain in weekly markets because prices are not fixed as goods are not branded.
15.
Goods sold in permanent shops are costlier than those sold in the weekly markets or by roadside hawkers because owners of permanent shops have to bear lot of expenditure such as rent, electricity, fee to government, wages to their helpers. Roadside hawkers or traders in weekly markets do not have to bear such expenses and hence their goods are cheaper.
