India has adopted growing various horticultural crops like fruits, vegetables, tube crops, flowers,spices and plantation crops. Economic condition of many farmers engaged in horticulture has improved and has become a means of improving the livelihood of many unprivileged classes. Rather flower harvesting, nursery maintenance, tissue culture etc. are highly lucrative employment options for women in rural areas.
