Hexadentate ligand is EDTA (ethylenediaminetetra acetate).

\(Cu{ \left( OH \right) }_{ 2 }\) is soluble in\({ NH }_{ 4 }OH\) due to the formation of soluble complex.\(\left[ Cu{ \left( { NH }_{ 3 } \right) }_{ 2 } \right] { \left( OH \right) }_{ 2 }\)But no such complex is formed by the reaction of \(Cu{ \left( OH \right) }_{ 2 }\)with NaOH.

EDTA coordinates lead in the body because of more soluble lead-EDTA complex, which can be eliminated in urine without causing any harmful effects.The calcium salt of EDTA is used so that any excess EDTA will not remove Ca²⁺ions from the body.

\({ PtCl }_{ 4 }.2{ NH }_{ 3 }\)has the structural formula \(\left[ Pt{ \left( { NH }_{ 3 } \right) }_{ 2 }{ Cl }_{ 4 } \right] \)and\({ PtCl }_{ 4 }.2KCL\) has the structural formula \({ K }_{ 2 }\left[ { PtCl }_{ 6 } \right] \). In both cases, the Cl^-ions are present in the coordination sphere and are not ionizable. Therefore, these don't give tests for Cl^-ions with \({ AgNO }_{ 3 }\) solution.
