1.
(i) Conditional format gives different font size, font colour and background colour for different data based on the user requirements.
(ii) You can set up cell formats to change font size, font colour, background colour depending on conditions that you specify.

(i) Insert Cells floating toolbar is also used to insert cells, rows and columns
(ii) Click View ➝Toolbars ➝ Insert Cell
(iii) A tiny floating toolbar appears on the screen with four icons; using these icons, you can insert cells, rows and columns.

Step 1: Select the row where you want the new row to be inserted.
Step 2: Right-click on the row number that you selected, A pop-up menu will appear
Step 3: click "Insert Rows" option from the menu.

To construct a formula, you should follow the steps below:
(i) Cell pointer should be in the cell in which you want to display the result.
(ii) Formula should begin with an = sign.
(iii) In a formula, use only cell reference (cell addresses) instead of the actual values within the cells.
(iv) While constructing a formula, BODMAS rule should be kept in mind.

There are three types of reference operators that are used to refer cells in calc; They are
(i) Range Reference Operator,
(ii) Range Concatenation
(iii) Intersection Operator.

(i) Inserting a Column : In Calc, we can insert a new column anywhere in the worksheet.
Step 1 : Select the column where a new column should be inserted.
Step 2 : Right-click on the selected column name that you have selected. A pop up menu appears.
Step 3 : click the "Insert Columns" option from the menu.
Now, a new column will be inserted to the left of the current column. A new column can also be inserted using Insert \(\rightarrow\)Columns command.
(ii) Inserting Rows : In Calc, we can insert a new row anywhere in the worksheet.
Step 1: Select the row where a new row is to be inserted.
Step 2: Right-click on the row number, a pop-up menu appears
Step 3 : click "Insert Rows" option from the menu.
Now, a new row will be inserted above the current row. Insert \(\rightarrow\)Rows command is used to insert a new row.
10.
(i) OpenOffice Calc is a popular open source spreadsheet application maintained by Apache Foundation.
(ii) Calc is the spreadsheet component of OpenOffice. You can enter any kind of data in a spreadsheet and then manipulate this data to produce certain results.
(iii) Alternatively, enter data and then use Calc in a 'What If..' manner by changing some of the data and observing the results without having to retype the entire spreadsheet.
