File is the collection of records.	Folder is a collections of files.
Create a file : Start \(\rightarrow\)All Programs \(\rightarrow\) select application \(\rightarrow\) ok	Create a folders: Right click \(\rightarrow\)New \(\rightarrow\) folder \(\rightarrow\)ok

CD	DVD
Expansion is Compact Disk	Expansion is Digital Versatile Disc.
A standard CD can store about 700 MB of Data.	A standard DVD can hold 4.7 GB of data.
CD players cannot play DVDs.	DVD players can play CDs.
It stores upto 80min of audio.	It can range from 4.7GB to 17.08 GB.

Input device is used to feed any form of data to the computer, which can be stored in the memory unit for further processing.
Example: Keyboard, mouse, Scanner, Fingerprint scanner, Track Ball, Retinal Scanner, Light pen etc.

Normal view is the main view for creating individual slides.
(i) Use this view to format and design slides and to add text, graphics and animation effects.
(ii) There are two ways to place a slide in the Slide Design area of the Normal view: clicking the slide thumbnail in the Slides pane or using the Navigator.

Backspace	Delete
Deletes the character to the left of the insertion pointer.	Deletes the character to the right of the insertion pointer

The main purpose of using an operating system:
(i) It controls and coordinates all the activities of a computer system.
(ii) It provides an environment for a computer user to execute programs on computer hardware in a convenient and efficient manner.
(iii) It enables the user to design the application, and also it provides an interface to interact with the computer and controls the execution of all kinds .of programs without knowing the internals of the hardware.
(iv) It interprets the command and instructions to perform the specified tasks.
(v) It coordinates and assigns the compilers, assemblers, utility programs to the users.
(vi) It detects errors present in the hardware and software.
(vii) It maintains the internal time clock.
(viii) It protects itself from being destroyed by any users.
(ix) It serves two major functions
1. Supervision (Prevent errors)
2. Management (Operation and control of I/O devices)
(x) It loads the programs itself into memory so that user can interact with hardware and software.

(a) Inkjet Printers:
(i) Inkjet Printers use colour cartridges which combined Magenta, Yellow and Cyan inks to create color tones. A black cartridge is also used for monochrome output. Inkjet printers work by spraying jonised ink at a sheet of paper.
(ii) They use the technology of firing ink by heating it so that it explodes towards the paper in bubbles or by using piezoelectricity in which tiny electric currents controlled by electronic circuits are used inside the printer to spread ink in jet speed.
(iii) An Inkjet printer can spread millions of dots of ink at the paper every single second.
(b) Multimedia Projectors: 
(i) Multimedia projectors are used to produce computer output on a big screen.
(i) These are used to display presentations in meeting halls or in classrooms.
(c) Bar Code / QR Code Reader:
(i) A Bar code is a pattern printed in lines of different thickness. The Bar code reader scans the information on the bar codes transmits to the Computer for further processing.
(ii) The system gives fast and error free entry of information into the computer.
QR (Quick response) Code:
The QR code is the two dimension bar code which can be read by a camera and processed to interpret the image.

(i) Professional Graphic Design: Even the user don't have graphic design experience, they know how to make adjustments to existing graphics.
(ii) Branding: Templates can easily be modified by changing colors, fonts, graphics etc.
(iii) Speed: With a good starting point in each slide, the presentation is made in a snap.
(iv) Quick customization: It's much easier to edit the template in its original form, not as a copy of a copy.
(v) Consistency: A consistent design scheme will avoid Jarring transitions and sneaking suspicion that the presentation was pasted together as a ransom note.

Step to generate the series 5, 10, 20..2560
Step 1 :Select the required number of cells to generate the series.
Step 2: Click EDIT \(\rightarrow\) FILL, the Fill Series dialog box appear.
Step 3: Select Direction Down in fill series dialog box.
Step 4: Select the Series type growth.
Step 5: Initial value of the series 5 should be typed in start value box. Step 6: Maximum value of the series 2560 should be typed in End value box.
Step 7: The value 2 should be typed in Increment box.
Step 8: Click Ok.
