(i) Bharat Operating System Solution (BOSS) is the acronym of BOSS GNU / Linux or BOSS Linux.
(ii) It has been described as 'India's Own PC OS'.
(iii) It is developed by National Resource Center for Free/Open Source Software (NRCFOSS). It is available in all official Indian languages.
