1. E-Mails provides faster and easy mean of communication. One can send message to any person at any place of world by just one click.

1. A switch is hardware device that filters and forwards network packets.
2. A network switch also connects computer to each other like hub
3. When a switch receives a packet of data, it determines what computer or device the packet is intended for and sends it to that computer only
4. It does not broadcast the packet to all computers as hub.
5. For this reason, switches are preferred over a hub.
6. Switches are successor of Hubs. Hubs didn't provide security nor do they store MAC address. So, were introduced to overcome these issues.

1. In PowerPoint, go to Insert > New Photo Album. Let's get started on a new photo album.

A thumbnail of each slide in order, use this view to rearrange the order of slides, produce a timed slide show, or add transitions between selected slides. The tasks pane on the right displays four pages that allow you to specify the master slide, layout, transitions, and animation effects for the object on your slides.

Given database is to be sorted on the basis of customer name in ascending order.
Step 1: Place the cell pointer in the field (customer name) to be sorted.
Step 2: Click Sort Ascending icon.
Database can be sorted in either way ascending or descending order depending upon the requirement

(i) To hide or show rows and columns, use the option in the Format menu or the right-click and choose from pop-up menu.
(ii) To hide a row/column, first select the row/column, and then use menu options,
(iii) Format → Row → Hide or Format → Column → Hide to hide row and column respectively,

(i) Multiprocessing is the use of two or more CPUs within a single computer system.
(ii) A system is said to be multiprocessing if it has more than one physical processors. Since it has multiple processors available, multiple processes can be executed at a time.
(iii) In Multiprocessing, processes can be assigned to a different processor for its execution.
(iv) With the help of multiprocessing system more work can be done in a shorter period of time.
(v) Multiprocessing system provides increased reliability means that if one processor fails, the other processor will continue its working. For example, if there are10 processors and 1 fails then the work does not halt, instead the remaining 9 processor will share the work of 10 th processor.
(vi) Multiprocessing system increases the Throughput i.e. if we increase the number of processors, more work can be completed.
(vii) As multiprocessing occurs by parallel processing, it is cost saving since it parallelly shares memory, buses, peripherals, etc.
(viii) Multiprocessor refers to hardware (CPU units) rather than software (running programs).

To insert rows in a table there are different ways:
(i) The easiest way to add a row is to press Tab from the last cell.
(ii) To insert a single row anywhere, place the insertion point in that particular cell and click the Insert row icon  from the Table Formatting toolbar.
(iii) To insert more than one row, click Table ⟶ Insert ⟶ Rows, the Insert Rows dialog box appears enter the of value using spin arrows or type the number directly. In the position option, select Before or After radio button to specify the position of the row.
(iv) Click OK button
Inserting Columns:
To insert columns there are different ways
(i) Place the insertion point in the particular column and click the Insert column icon   to insert a blank column right of the insertion point.
(ii) To insert more than one column, place the insertion point in the particular column and click Table ⟶ Insert ⟶ Column, the insert column dialog box appears enter the value using spin arrows or type the number directly.
(iii) In the position option, select Before or After radio button to specify the position of the column.
(iv) Click OK button

The bullets and numbers can be removed easily.
(i) Select the text where the bullets and numbers are to be removed
(ii) Click on the bullets icon again to remove bullets.
(iii) Click on the numbering icon  again to remove numbering.
