Apartheid was an official policy of discrimination on the basis of race and colour practised by the government of South Africa.

This para goes against the constitutional values. These values are enshrined in the Preamble to our Constitution. It starts with the words: " We , the people of India" which means both men and women. It secures to all its citizens (both men and women). Justice, social, economic and political to all the citizens. It says that citizens cannot be discriminated on the grounds of caste, religion and gender. Social inequalities have to be reduced. Government should work for the welfare of all. All are equal before law. The values are given in the constitution-Justice, Equality, Liberty, Fraternity do not conform to the position of women given in the above para.
