According to the constitution a person's life and personal liberty can be taken only according to procedure established by law.
(i) No person can be killed unless the court has ordered a death sentence.
(ii) It ensures that no person can be punished or imprisoned merely at the whims of some authority.
(iii) The person may be punished only for the violation of the law.
(iv) A person can be arrested only with warrant and under rule defined in law.
