What do you mean by Co-operative organization?

The co-operative society is one of the form of business organisation. It is formed in a similar manner like a joint-stock company. It is a unique form of organisation. It is started with the motive of organising and rendering services to its members.

Non-agricultural non-credit societies are formed in order to assist the middle and lower income groups of people. Their main aim is for rendering different types of service to their members at nominal rates of interest.
The different types are:
(i) Consumer's co-operatives,
(ii) Manufacturer's co-operatives,
(iii) Housing co-operatives and
(iv) Co-operative warehouses.

Agricultural credit society is the credit society, organised mostly by agriculturists of a village. The societies provide loans to its members for various productive and unproductive purposes relating to agriculture. Agriculture credit societies are also called rural credit societies or primary societies.

Co-operative societies are managed on democratic lines. Every member has only one vote irrespective of the members of shares held by him. The co-operative society is formed on the principle of democracy which means 'one vote for one member'. So there will be no domination by any group of persons.

(i) Indian Coffee House .
(ii) Mother Dairy
(iii) Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad
(iv) Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative Limited
(v) The Indian Airlines (Cargo) C.G.H.S. Ltd.

It is a place in the harbour where the goods are kept for loading into the ship.

Every state government is given power to establish its own Warehousing Corporation after getting approval from the CWC. 50% of the capital is contributed by the CWC and the balance 50% contributed by State Government.
