About College

Gayatri College of Pharmacy, Sambalpur one of the leading educational Institution in India, was set up in the year 1986 with an aim to produce technically trained personnel in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology & to promote the Technical Education in general. The institution was established by the founder Secretary, Sri Sibnarayan Satpathy & gradually Promoted by the founder Director, Mr. Ashok kumar Satpathy. Presently the society is running with D. Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy), B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) & M. Pharm (Master in Pharmacy) course. Teachers are the major assets of any institution. The institution has appointed highly qualified and dedicated faculties of outstanding merit, excellent teaching skills as well as abilities. A balanced mix of academicians, researchers and professionals from different pharmaceutical and general sectors contributes to the institute's academic excellence. They are encouraged to update their knowledge and skills by allowing them to pursue refresher courses, research work and higher studies. Part time and visiting faculties are invited to contribute enrich the core courses and electives offered to the students.

The College is recognised by Govt. of Orissa, Affiliated to Orissa State Board of Pharmacy, Bhubaneswar and Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Approved by Pharmacy Council of India and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The mission of GCP is to generate Pharmacy Professional with sharp perception, analytical skill and infuse in them professional confidence to meet the new challenges of Global Work Environment and to be a unique "Centre of Excellence" through continual improvement.

The main objectives of the Institute training to the student, team work and total involvement of faculty and supporting staff, continual up gradation of knowledge, skills and positive attitude of staff, student and management, optimum utilization of resources, promotion of technical education in general and pharmaceutical profession in particular.
