Engineering | BITS HD | Eligibility Criteria

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani will be conducting BITS HD admission test 2019 tentatively in the third week of May. Allotment into the various campuses offering M.E. courses will be open through BITS HD admission test 2019. Registration for BITS HD 2019 will be open tentatively from second week of April to second week of May. Before registration, the candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of BITS HD admission test 2019. Admissions will also be open for GATE qualified candidates. Since the BITS HD examination will be conducted in online mode, the candidates will have to complete the slot booking process. The admit card of BITS HD admission test 2019 will be available only after the slot booking is completed. Allotment of seats will be done as per the merit of the candidate and preferences selected. BITS HD 2021 Eligibility Criteria

BITS HD 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

Percentage Criteria: Candidates must have passed an integrated first degree of BITS or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks.
Reporting: The candidates are supposed to report along with the original mark sheets and qualifying degree certificate.
Graduating Candidates: Extension is given for those candidates who are appearing in the final year of their degree.
College Expulsion: There will be no fee refund if the candidates fail to submit the original qualifying degree mark sheets on or before the due date and the admission of such candidates would be automatically discontinued.
Extension: No further extension of date for submission of final results of the qualifying examination will be given.

Program Wise Eligibility Criteria for BITS HD 2019:

M.E. Biotechnology – Any integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with adequate preparation in Biochemistry and Microbiology.
M.E. Chemical– Integrated first degree of BITS in Chemical Engineering or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech (Chemical).
M.E. Civil – Integrated first degree of BITS in Civil Engineering or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech (Civil).
M.E. Computer Science – Integrated first degree of BITS in Computer Science/Engineering or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Engineering). Candidates with a B.E./B.Tech degree in IT area will not be eligible to apply for M.E. Computer Science.
M.E. Communication Engineering – Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech in these disciplines.
M.E. Mechanical; Design Engineering; Manufacturing Systems Engineering – Integrated first degree of BITS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech in these disciplines.
M.E. Mechanical (with specialization in Thermal Engineering) – Integrated first degree of BITS in Mechanical or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
M.E. Embedded Systems –Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Computer Science or its equivalent such as BE/B.Tech in these disciplines.
M.E. Microelectronics – Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Computer Science/ Physics or its equivalent.
M.E. Software Systems – Any Integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with specific prior preparation. Candidates with a B.E./B.Tech degree in IT area is eligible to apply for M.E. Software Systems (Not eligible for M.E Computer Science). They may need some specific prior preparation.
M.Pharm, M.Pharm (with specialization in Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry) – Integrated first degree of BITS in Pharmacy or its equivalent such as B. Pharm.
