Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test ( MH PGM PGD CET ) 2012 is an Entrance exam conducted by Maharashtra University. Maharashtra State conducts the PGM and PGD common entrance exam for the candidates admission for the Post Graduate Medical courses and the Post Dental courses such as MD ( Doctor of Medicine ), MS ( Master of Surgery ), PG Diploma ( Postgraduate Diploma ) Program commencing session 2012 - 13.

Maharashtra Postgraduate Medical / Dental Entrance Examination (  MH PGMPGDCET ) -  2015 - Reservation of Seats

For PGM-CET 2015

The seats available for admission to medical postgraduate courses will be distributed as 50% to all India Quota & remaining 50 % to the State Quota. From the State quota 25% PG Degree & 25% Diploma Seats from Government Medical Colleges will be distributed to the In-Service Candidates of Public Health Department and ESIS Department. ( However for this clause G.R of Government of Maharashtra is awaited ).

 In-Service seats distribution for In-service BMC Candidates will be as per the policy of BMC and these seats will be exclusively from the BMC Medical Colleges

Any seats remaining vacant from all India Post Graduate quota and In-services quota will be reverted back to State quota, after these seats are surrendered by the Concerned Authorities. Seats surrendered from All India Quota will retain their original Category character.

 All India Quota surrendered Seats  having OBC character will be allotted to PGM CET candidates, of VJ, NT1, NT2, NT3 & OBC including SBC, Category candidate ( group together ) as per inter-se merit ( If OBC Reservation is included in All India Quota ).

All India quota surrendered seats having unreserved ( Open ) Character will be allotted to PGM CET candidates, by common merit list which includes all category ( SC, ST, VJ, NT-1, NT-2, NT-3, OBC ) including SBC and open merit candidates.

All India quota surrendered seats will be allotted to state quota and there will not be in-service reservation in this surrendered quota. ( However the decision regarding ESBC (Maratha) & SBC-A (Muslim) will be communicated in due course )

The institute wise availability of the seats will be as per Postgraduate Regulation of Medical Council of India ( MCI ) and MUHS, Nasik

The seat position will be given in the preference form filling information brochure and will be displayed on the official website

Postgraduate seats left unfilled in an academic year, shall not be carried forward to the next or subsequent academic year. The last date of joining MD / MS / Diploma courses is 31st May 2015 as per the guidelines of MCI, New Delhi issued pursuant to the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in W.P. No.5166 / 2001, MCI V / s Madhu Singh & Others, followed by W.P. ( C ) No.306 / 2004, Mridul Dhar V / s UOI and Others.  

The academic year will start from 2nd May 2014 as per MCI guidelines. ( The last date of admission and date of commencement of academic session is subject to change as per direction of Hon'ble supreme courts and MCI )

The seats available will be filled in on the basis of State Level Merit in PGM-CET. There will be no regional reservation. There will be reservation in these seats as per Government orders issued from time to time

For PGD-CET 2015

The Seat available for admission to Dental Postgraduate Courses will be distributing as 50% to all India Quota and remaining 50% the State Quota. From the State Quota 15% Seats from Government Dental Colleges will be distributed to the dental In-Service Candidates of Government Dental College & Hospital and Government Medical College & Hospital as per Government Resolution

The institute wise availability of the seats will be as per Postgraduate Regulation of Dental Council of India ( DCI ) and MUHS, Nasik.

The seat position will be given in the preference form filling information brochure and will be displayed on the official website.

The seats available will be filled in on the basis of State Merit List in PGDCET. There will be no Regional reservation. However there will be reservation in these seats as per State Government orders issued from time to time.

Vacancies arising due to any reason in postgraduate courses in Academic Year shall neither be filled nor be carried forward to the next or subsequent academic years after the last date of joining for post graduate courses i.e. 31st may 2015 as per DCI Guidelines.
