Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical, Postgraduate Dental Entrance Exam ( MH PGMPGDCET )

Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test ( MH PGM PGD CET ) 2012 is an Entrance exam conducted by Maharashtra University. Maharashtra State conducts the PGM and PGD common entrance exam for the candidates admission for the Post Graduate Medical courses and the Post Dental courses such as MD ( Doctor of Medicine ), MS ( Master of Surgery ), PG Diploma ( Postgraduate Diploma ) Program commencing session 2012 - 13.

Maharashtra Postgraduate Medical / Dental Entrance Examination (  MH PGMPGDCET ) -  2015 - Eligibility Criteria

For PGM-CET 2015

Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid passport or School Leaving ( SSC ) / Jr. College Leaving Certificate of HSC / 12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality. [ Persons of Indian Origin ( PIO ) / Non Resident Indians ( NRI ) / Overseas Citizen of India ( OCI ) are not eligible ].

All candidates, who have passed final M.B.B.S. examination and completed / completing one year internship training by 31st March, 2015 from a recognized medical college included in the Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and situated in Maharashtra, are eligible. The Medical College should have been affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 or Medical College affiliated to Deemed university as per University Grant commission Act of 1956 under section 13 / A, situated in Maharashtra. The candidate should have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council ( MMC ) will be eligible to appear for PGM-CET 2015. Candidates who have passed MBBS examination from foreign University are not eligible for PGM CET 2015.

In-Service Candidates

Eligibility for In-service candidates will be as per criteria laid down by the Public Health Department for M.M. & H.S. Medical Officer candidates and by commissioner of E.S.I.S. for E.S.I.S in-service candidates.

For BMC In-Service Candidate eligibility criteria will be as per criteria laid down by Municipal Commissioner / Director of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

Application forms of the DHS In-service candidates shall be received by the Deputy Director of Health Services of the respective circles.

The applications will be scrutinized by them and shall be submitted with remarks to the office of Directorate of Health Services, Mumbai.

 The forms of eligible candidates should then be submitted to the Competent Authority. For BMC candidates, the forms of eligible candidates should be submitted to the Competent Authority by the concerned office of BMC; and for ESIS candidates by the office of the Commissioner, ESIS, and Mumbai.

For In-service Candidates the cost of the Information Brochure along with Computerized Scanable Application Form of PGM-CET 2015 and the examination fee is Rs 3000/- to be paid by a Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn on any nationalized / scheduled commercial bank in favor of the “Director, Medical Education & Research, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai. This amount is not refundable.

The MCI / MMC registration is mandatory for appearing at PGM-CET. Registration Certificate should be produced at the time of Document Verification process.

Candidates, who were admitted to the colleges / institutions which are now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik ( MUHS ) will be eligible till such time as they are awarded the degree by the University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.

The candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Pre Medical Test Entrance Examination ( AIPMT ) for MBBS course in the medical college / institution situated outside Maharashtra State and who have obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGM-CET-2015.

Such candidates should submit below documents

Certificate from the Dean of respective medical college stating that the candidate was admitted under 15% All India quota for MBBS course,

Candidate's Domicile certificate of Maharashtra State by virtue of residence

The candidate belonging to Backward Class must have claimed so in his online/ computerized scanable application form, failing which such a claim will not be entertained subsequently.

The candidate belonging to Backward Class Category should produce the Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate ( wherever applicable ) at the time of Document Verification and preference form filling process.

A Candidate belonging to ‘Creamy Layer’ amongst the categories ( VJ ) DT -A, ( NT-1 ) NT-B, ( NT-2 ) NT-C, ( NT-3 ) NT-D, OBC and SBC must note that the provision of reservation is NOT applicable to him/her. A candidate claiming benefit of reservation under these categories will be required to produce Non-Creamy Layer Certificate as specified in the Govt. Resolution No.CBC-10/2008/CR-697 VJNT-1, dated 24th June, 2013.

The certificate in prescribed Proforma stating that it is valid up to 31/3/2015, should be submitted at the time of Document Verification process.

The candidate admitted for MBBS course in reserve category on the basis of Court order for Caste claim is required to submit Caste Validity Certificate given by the Caste Scrutiny Committee.

If the matter is still pending with Hon'ble Court, candidate should submit a fresh Court order for PGM-CET 2015, failing which the claim will not be granted and the candidate will be considered as Open category candidate subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria of Open Category.

Candidates who have passed postgraduate diploma course will be eligible for PGM-CET for admission to postgraduate degree registration in the same subject only.

The candidates who were eligible to appear for NEET 2013 and earlier PGM CETS irrespective of whether they appeared or not it will be considered as attempt

The Candidates thus completing two or more attempts must have completed 1 year’s bond service as per Govt. Letter No.PGM-1010/ CR-353/10 Edu-2/MEDD dated 28th September 2011 & Government Notification Letter No. DMER/PGM-CET/ELIGIBLITY/2013/CRTERIA/2-A, dated 1st November 2011.

However, any candidates who has qualified in PGM-CET - 2015, and has not done 1 year bond service, can take the admission through PGM-CET - 2015, after breaking the bond by paying necessary bond penalty amount to the college where he / she has done MBBS course.

Candidates who have completed internship on or before 31/03/2013 and have appeared PGM-CET-2015 and desirous to fill preference form for PGM CET 2015 admission process, should produce and documentary evidence of either bond release certificate issued by concerned authority or receipt of penalty amount paid for the bond service to the concerned authority at the time of preference filling process.

A candidate who fails to comply the aforesaid condition will not be allowed to fill the preference form and he/she will be disqualified for selection process of PGM-CET-2015.

Candidates who are declared eligible as per rule of PGM-CET-2015 can only fill Preference form for PGM-CET-2015.

Candidate will be allowed to appear for PGM CET only twicefirst time for the examination conducted before the date of internship completion and second time for the examination conducted immediately after the completion of mandatory internship period.

While counting the attempts whether the candidates actually appeared for the examination or not, will not be taken into consideration.

Candidate will be eligible to appear for PGM-CET 2016, if he/she cancels his/her admission of PGM-CET 2015 before prescribed date.

For PGD-CET 2015

Candidate must be an Indian National. Persons of Indian Origin ( PIO ) / Non Resident Indians ( NRI ) / Overseas Citizen of India ( OCI ) are not eligible

All candidates, who have passed final B.D.S. Examination and Completed / Completing One year internship training by 31st March, 2015 from a recognized dental college included in the schedule of the Dental Council of India and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to the Nonagricultural University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act 1998 or Dental Colleges affiliated to Deemed University as per University Grant Commission Act 1956 under section 13 / A, situated in Maharashtra, and who have obtained registration either from the Dental Council of India or Maharashtra State Dental Council ( MSDC ) after completing one year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for PGD-CET.

Candidate obtained BDS Degree before introduction of one year compulsory rotating internship training, i.e. on or before 1989 will also be eligible to appear for PGD-CET 2015.

Candidates who have passed BDS examination from foreign University are not eligible for PGD CET 2015.

In-Service Candidates

To be eligible for in-service seats candidates should have passed BDS examination in maximum three attempts from DCI recognized Dental College, Situated in Maharashtra State.

Candidates working on the post of Dental Surgeon for Minimum 3 years in Government Dental College & Hospital or Government Medical College & Hospital are eligible for In-Service Reservation. Candidates working on temporary Dental Surgeon Post are not eligible for In-Service reservation.

Age of the candidates should not be more than 45 years at the time of submission of application for PGD CET.

Candidates must appear the PGD CET Examination and should qualify the examination.

Separate Merit list will be prepared for in-service Candidates. For every one year service as dental surgeon 10% of obtained marks up to maximum 30% marks shall be added in the PGD CET obtained marks. Candidate qualifying PGD CET is only eligible for this additional weightage mark.

There will be constitutional reservation in in-service quota. Roster for 5 years for this reservation will be maintained.

The In-Service reservation will be 15% of the seats available with Competent Authority excluding all India Quota. There will be no reservation in the all India Quota Seats Surrendered to the State.

In-Service candidates after obtaining MDS qualification must serve The Government for 10 years otherwise he / she has to pay Rs 50,00,000/- ( Fifty Lakhs Only ) as a penalty.

A candidate should have obtained MSDC / DCI registration by the date of document verification process. Except for a candidate who will be completing Internship by 31 / 03 / 2015, such a candidate must submit the aforesaid certificate by the beginning of academic term ( i.e. second May 2015 ) to the college authority.

Candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2015 can appear for PGD-CET.

The candidates who were admitted to the colleges / institutions which are now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences ( MUHS ) will be eligible till such time as they are awarded the degrees by the University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.

However, the candidate who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who obtained admission under 15% quota from All India Entrance Examination ( AIEE ) for BDS course in a dental college / institution situated out-side Maharashtra State and who has obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGD-CET.

Such candidate should submit:

Certificate from the Dean of respective college stating that the candidate was admitted under 15% AIEE quota for BDS course.

Certificate of domicile in State of Maharashtra by virtue of residence

Non-eligibility of Candidate:

 The following candidates are not eligible for applying / appearing at PGDCET 2015 as the case may be

Candidates who have passed Final BDS exam from institute located outside Maharashtra, except candidates who are Domicile of Maharashtra and selected under 15% AIEE quota

Candidates who have passed final BDS examination from foreign university are not eligible.

Candidates who are not completing internship on or before 31st March 2015

Candidates who have not obtained MSDC / DCI registration

Candidates who had been admitted to PG course through PGDCET- 2014 and resigned / left / not joined which resulted in lapse of a seat.

Candidates who are previously registered and are pursuing / have completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree
