Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam ( University for Women )was founded in the year 1983 by Sri N.T.Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, with the fervent desire to train women students as better builders of the Nation and to inculcate skills of leadership in all aspects of life.

The University was established under the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Act of 1983,which has come into force on the 14 of April 1983.It was started with ten faculties and 300 students and twenty staff members. Sri Padmavati Mahila Visva Vidyalayam ( Women's University ) conduct the Entrance Examination for the Post Graduate common Entrance Test for the academic year of 2015. SPMVV PGCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Sri Padmavati Mahila Visva Vidyalayam Post Graduate Common Entrance Test ( SPMVV PGCET ) Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria – 2015

1. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% marks in the concerned subject. For the courses where the admission is based on the degree as a whole, the aggregate percentage in the group subjects should be 40% of marks.

2. For admission into M.Ed., the aggregate marks in B.Ed. should be 50% and the aggregate marks in degree / PG should be 45%. Qualifying the corresponding Bachelor’s degree exam is sufficient for SC / ST candidates for admission in to any course.

3. Candidates who have already passed the qualifying examinations or who have appeared / are appearing for the final year annual examination in 2015 are eligible to apply. Supplementary candidates of 2015 are not eligible.

Indian Nationals:

who are natives of other states (other than AP and Telangana State) are eligible for admission under National Integration Quota (5%). These seats are over and above existing seats.

Foreign Nationals / NRIs :

can be admitted without entrance test subject to satisfying the eligibility criteria and production of STUDENT VISA for the period of study in the University.

The eligibility criteria for admission into each course available in Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) along with the entrance test one has to take, are given below:

Any graduate with 45% in arts subjects and 50% in science subjects in groups. They should have studied at least one of the following subjects in their UG course : Economics , Mathematics, Statistics,

Accountancy, Computer Science.
