Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College, Namakkal was founded in the year 1996 with the efforts taken by (late) Smt.Mathammal Sheela and (late) Sri.T.A.Palaniappa Devasagayam, pioneers in the field of providing technical education. Their commitment to the academic excellence and global quality is today a benchmark for the field of Engineering, Technology, Management studies and computer applications. AMS Institution is a group of visionaries and intellectuals to impart quality education in a stimulating and innovative environment where students are empowered with knowledge and professional skills while upholding the value of integrity, tolerance and mutual respect. AMS is a community of students, staff and faculty striving to be vibrant with learning processes which allow individuals to be themselves while being creative with their energy. This College, extends over a hundred acres of land, is located at Erumapatty which is about 15 Kms from Namakkal town, the headquarters of Namakkal District. This college is located in the gorgeous background of Kolli Hills. The fresh air, sweet medicated water seeping from Kolli Hills, well known for its medicinal plants, and vast area make the campus very healthy. The serene area provides a conducive atmosphere for the students to concentrate on their studies. The Placement & Training Centre is to motivate and prepare students for successful performance at interviews and subsequent interaction with employers. The students have formal and informal discussions regularly with the Placement  & Training staff regarding their future plans. They are trained to prepare effective resume and are advised to follow decorum and developing communication skills. Enterpreneurship Development Programme conducted by the Centre, pay much attention to vital aspects of Enterprenuership, such as business opportunities, working capital management, motivation exercises and export opportunities.
