About College

C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Institution, Affiliated to The Tamil nadu Dr.MGR Medical University and also Approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India. The need for qualified pharmacists in the present context made the Tamilnadu Chemists and Druggists to take a momentous decision on the 1st December 1979 to establish a College of Pharmacy in Chennai. The entire pharmaceutical trade in Tamil nadu rose to the occasion to offer their co-operation. 

The sustained efforts taken by the Educational Trust brought the idea into fruition within a short span of time and the College of Pharmacy was inaugurated on 13th July 1980 by the then Minister of Health Government of Tamil nadu, Dr. H.V. Hande.
