Chandy College of Engineering,  Thoothukudi is a private-self financing, non minority, co-education institution established in 2009 by the great philanthropist Mr.P.Selvaraj under Pitchandi Poornamaalai Ammal trust is managed by a governing body consisting of eminent personalities, educationalists, Professionals and industrialists as members. It has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna university of technology thirunelveli and Anna university Chennai.

The college has established a quality management system for its systematic academic functioning and thereby received ISO 9001:2008 certification within a short span of time since its inception.

The college is situated in a serene atmosphere with excellent infrastructure that includes hi-fi labs with latest equipments and fully furnished classrooms.
