Cheran College of Engineering has been started in the year 2012 in Karur. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. The College offers under graduate programmes in Engineering. The institution has the academic ambience for good teaching and practical trainings effected by qualified and experienced faculty to groom our students as complete technocrat and professionals. We inculcate the students the qualities required to envision their future, estimate the requirements, equip them to overcome the obstacles and to reach their desired goal. The infrastructures provided to the students are world class and state of the art. The laboratories are equipped with instruments and equipment of industrial class and not merely desktop. This helps our students to learn to the requirements of real time industry. The mission of the college is endeavors to impart high quality, competency based technical education in Engineering and technology to the younger generation with the required skills and the abilities to face the challenging needs of the industry around the globe. The primary focus of  Cheran is to expose the students to the world of technology, instilling in them confidence to face new challenges enabling them to shine in their chosen fields. The Training and Placement Cell is an imperative division of the institution. The cell is projecting towards assisting the students at every rung of advancement towards their career. The professional objective of the students is detailed and the vocation facet of the student is made factual by following a two divisional progression: Training and Placement. The series of training afford cosmic openings for massive growth of the student’s perspective in the industrial scenario. Cheran College of Engineering has separate hostels for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all the needs of the students are met and a homely atmosphere with a sense of security is created. Immediate medical care is given to hostel students on requirement. The college committed to the total upliftment of the society by imparting quality professional education, aiming at modeling totally competent professionals with ingenuity, adaptability, social commitment and ethical spiritual values by creating a congenial academic ambience that kindles innovative thinking, continually upgrade the quality management system through empowerment and involvement.
