CSI College of Engineering (CSICE), Nilgiris established in 1998, is a self-financing institution. The CSI College of Engineering is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college seeks to impart value based technical education to its students in order to meet the growing needs of such technocrats and entrepreneurs required in industries and business establishments. The college offering degree level courses in different disciplines of Engineering Sciences. CSI College of Engineering is located in the breathtakingly beautiful and serene Ketti valley in the Nilgiris district. The valley has often been called the “Switzerland of the Nilgiris.” The main aim of the college is to equip the students with technical knowledge, skill and ability; to inculcate in them right attitude  and holistic values; to motivate them to think creatively, act independently and take decisions accordingly in all their scientific pursuits and other endeavors as well; to develop a system of meaningful interaction with industry. The primary focus of CSI is to expose the students to the world of technology, instilling in them confidence to face new challenges enabling them to shine in their chosen fields. The core values of the college are quality, equity, morality, environmental sustainability, energy saving and strong commitment to the cause of technical education and services. Today the college is recognized for its special and unique teaching methodology and holistic approach towards education.

CSI College of Engineering has separate hostels for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all the needs of the students are met and a homely atmosphere with a sense of security is created. Immediate medical care is given to hostel students on requirement. The placement cell of CSI is constituted to provide the right perspective regarding the various career options available to the students and sufficiently train them to choose and pursue their careers of choice. The training program encompasses a three stage process to train the students to make them ready for the industry and develop the etiquettes of the corporate world. The placement department supports students with resources and ideas, a database, notification of new placements etc. The college committed to the total upliftment of the society by imparting quality professional education, aiming at modeling totally competent professionals with ingenuity, adaptability, social commitment and ethical spiritual values by creating a congenial academic ambience that kindles innovative thinking, continually upgrade the quality management system through empowerment and involvement.
