CSI Hospital Nursing School was established in the year 1956. The school is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council and Indian Nursing Council. School offers course Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.

The School of Nursing is touching its twentieth mile stone of General Nursing Education Programme. Though nurses and midwives were trained in Vernacular since 1993, the first batches of students for General Nursing Course were admitted in July 1956. As days rolled into months, and months into years, the old single room school called ‘Class room’ in 1957 when I joined as a tour, has grown into ‘The School of Nursing’ with two class rooms, a multipurpose Laboratory, Library and Reading room. The two wings of the school enclose a courtyard with a stage. Students and staff enjoy this open space for play, study and other co-curricular activities.
