The Delta School of Nursing of the Dalit Liberation Education Trust affirms the statement of the Indian Nursing Council “that the basic course in Nursing is a formal professional educational preparation which should be based on sound educational principles.” Indian Nursing Council also “recognises its responsibility to the society for the continued development of students as individuals, nurses and citizens.”

In conformity with the objectives of International Council of Nurses and Indian Nursing Council, The DELTA SCHOOL OF NURSING of the Dalit Liberation Education Trust works for the uplift of the downtrodden people by empowering the people at grassroots in rural poor areas. As part of its work, the Trust aims at development to improve the employability of the unemployed educated youth who are suffering from social disabilities and remain unproductive, contributing to the poverty of the nation. In order to remedy this disadvantageous social situation, the Nursing School will impart nurses training to provide education in understanding the basic scientific principles, the mechanics and nature of the human body, the social dynamics of human community, an analysis of the social structure, the principles of communication including interpersonal Communication and the development of Human Personality in a holistic manner.
