Deshbhakta Anandrao Balwantrao Naik Arts and Science College is a distinguished degree college affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The college is named after Late Deshbhakta Anandrao Balwantrao Naik(Tatya),the freedom fighter and distinguished visionary The campus is Situated in hilly area of Shirala Taluka which is 18 km from NH4 and 60 km from Sangli. This is the first college with Science faculty in Tahasil established in 1998 by late Loknete Fattesing (Appa) Naik with a view of providing quality education to the rural youth. The college is started with only 138 students imparting arts and Science Education.
