Dr. Alva Paramedical Educational Institute, Coimbatore was established under Dr. Alva Educational & Charitable trust. The institute is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and recognized by the government of Tamil Nadu. Dr. Alva Paramedical Educational Institute offers General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. 

The institute is aimed at imparting nursing education in weaker section of area and producing well trained health personnel. Dr. Alva Paramedical Educational Institute is planning to introduce more nursing courses at UG and PG level, in the near future. The institute provides practical exposure to their students, which helps them in acquiring in depth knowledge in the field of nursing.
