About College

Nadala block, situated as it is between the Black Bein and the river Beas, continued to be ravaged by heavy floods every year since time immemorial. Consequently, it remained totally neglected in every respect. The construction of Dhussi Bund after independence kindled new hopes and aspirations among the people for advanced education. The elite of the area felt a dire need of an institution of higher education. 

In the quin-centenary year of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the noble urge of the people of the area was fulfilled under the guidance of revered Sant Baba Majha Singh Ji, of Dera Baba Karam Singh of Hoti Mardan now rehabilitated at Maksudpur (Kapurthala) and a degree college was established at Nadala in 1970.The college has been progressing by leaps and bounds ever since its inception. It has carved out a special niche both in academic and sports spheres. Its scholars have decorated the merit lists of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar every year and its sportsmen have brought distinction and honour by wining prizes, medals and trophies in the various university, inter-university and state level competitions.
